Christmas comes to the Nicosia International Festival 2025 alongside the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra with the children’s musical adventure titled “Suzy and the Christmas of the World.” Two performances will take place on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre (16:00 & 17:30).
The story
In the heart of Athalassa Park lives Suzy the Fox. Suzy is not an ordinary fox. She loves to collect the sounds of nature – the birds’ singing, the rustling of leaves, the sound of the rain. And above all, she adores music and Christmas carols. One day, she wonders: “How is Christmas sung in Spain? In Argentina? In China?” Thus begins a journey where she will discover traditions, songs, and colors from Christmas celebrations around the world, accompanied by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Choir of the SymphoPedia program, and conductor Kyriaki Kountouri, whilst Mara Constantinou will be narrating her adventures. The music and storytelling will be accompanied by projections of images and animations.
This is a festive concert for the whole family, full of rhythm, love, and magic – a musical adventure designed to warm the heart. Beyond its purely artistic contribution, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation also extends its impact to social causes. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Foundation supports the “Baby Miracles” Association, which aims to improve the world of every premature newborn. A portion of the proceeds from the concerts will be donated to this cause.
