Ο Πολιτιστικός Οργανισμός Avantgarde παρουσιάζει στην Κύπρο τους κορυφαίους πιανίστες του 21ου αιώνα. Συμμετέχοντας στο Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network, ο Οργανισμός συνεργάζεται με τους σπουδαιότερους διαγωνισμούς πιάνου στον κόσμο ώστε να παρουσιάζει άμεσα στην Κύπρο τους νικητές των σημαντικών αυτών θεσμών. Δίνεται έτσι η ευκαιρία στο Κυπριακό κοινό να θαυμάσει μοναδικές ερμηνείες από νέους, ανερχόμενους, ταλαντούχους πιανίστες που πρόκειται να αφήσουν τη μουσική τους σφραγίδα στον 21ο αιώνα, ταυτόχρονα με όλες τις σημαντικές αίθουσες και πρωτεύουσες στον κόσμο.

Νικητής του Διεθνούς Διαγωνισμού Πιάνου του Leeds το 2024 και κάτοχος του Χρυσού Μεταλλίου Dame Fanny Waterman, ο Jaeden Izik-Dzurko έγινε ο πρώτος Καναδός που απέσπασε το Μεγάλο Βραβείο στον Διεθνή Μουσικό Διαγωνισμό του Μόντρεαλ τον Μάιο του 2024. Οι εντυπωσιακές διακρίσεις του σε κορυφαίους διαγωνισμούς τον έχουν καθιερώσει ως ένα από τα πιο συναρπαστικά και δημιουργικά ταλέντα της γενιάς του. Επαινείται για τη μοναδική επικοινωνιακή του δύναμη, την καλλιτεχνική του ωριμότητα και την εκλεπτυσμένη τεχνική του αρτιότητα. Ως ερμηνευτής έργων Καναδών συνθετών, απέσπασε το Βραβείο Καλύτερης Ερμηνείας Καναδικού Έργου στον Διαγωνισμό του Μόντρεαλ, ενώ ηχογράφησε το Ρομαντικό Κοντσέρτο για Πιάνο του Ernst Schneider με την Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα Okanagan (σειρά Canadian Soundscapes). Πρόσφατα, παρουσίασε σε παγκόσμια πρώτη το έργο Somnis Radiants (Ακτινοβόλα Όνειρα, 2022) της Ισπανίδας συνθέτριας Elisenda Fábregas στο Klavier-Festival Ruhr.
Γεννημένος στο Salmon Arm της British Columbia, ο Jaeden απέκτησε πτυχίο Μουσικής από το Juilliard School με καθηγήτρια την Yoheved Kaplinsky και μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο από το Πανεπιστήμιο της British Columbia με τον Corey Hamm. Επίσης υπήρξε μαθητής του Ian Parker. Αυτή την περίοδο σπουδάζει με τον Jacob Leuschner στο Hochschule für Musik Detmold και με τον Benedetto Lupo στην Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.

Avantgarde Cultural Foundation presents in Cyprus the great pianists of the 21st century. As a member of the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network, the Foundation collaborates with the most renowned piano competitions in the world in order to present to Cyprus the winners of these important institutions. This gives our audience the opportunity to attend unique performances by young, up-and-coming, talented pianists who are going to leave their musical mark in the 21st century, together with all the major music halls and capitals of the world.
Jaeden Izik-Dzurko is the First Prize winner of the renowned Concours Musical International de Montréal and Leeds International Piano Competition (2024).

Winner of the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition and recipient of the Dame Fanny Waterman Gold Medal, Jaeden Izik-Dzurko became the first Canadian Grand Prize Laureate at the Concours Musical International de Montréal in May 2024. His triumphs at landmark competitions have quickly established him as one of the most exciting and creative talents of his generation. Celebrated for his remarkable communicative power, artistic maturity and refined technical command, his performances continue to captivate audiences, critics and conductors alike with their depth and insight.
Jaeden has performed in prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including the Weill Recital Hall, the Vancouver Recital Society and Mexico’s Festival Internacional Cervantino, as well as with major
orchestras such as the Calgary Philharmonic and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. His playing has been broadcast on CBC Radio’s In Concert, WQXR’s Young Artists Showcase, American Public Media’s Performance Today and medici.tv. This season’s performances include appearances with the Edmonton Symphony, the Oxford Philharmonic, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, and at the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdrój, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Illinois and the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
Jaeden has won several prestigious awards: First Prize, the Canon Audience Prize, and the Chamber Music Award at the 20th Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition, and First Prize at both the 2022 Maria Canals International Music Competition and the 2022 Hilton Head International Piano Competition. In March 2024, he was awarded a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.
A thoughtful interpreter of Canadian composers’ works, he received the Award for the Best performance of the imposed Canadian work at the Concours Musical International de Montréal and has recorded Ernst Schneider’s Romantic Piano Concerto with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra (Canadian Soundscapes). More recently, he gave the world premiere of Somnis Radiants (Radiant Dreams, 2022) by Spanish composer Elisenda Fábregas at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr.
Born in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Jaeden earned his Bachelor of Music degree at The Juilliard School under Yoheved Kaplinsky and his Master of Music degree at the University of British Columbia with Corey Hamm. He is also a former student of Ian Parker. Currently, he studies with Jacob Leuschner at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
